Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding is so creamy with the perfect texture and sweetness. Only a handful of ingredients and a little patience are needed to make this old time favorite dessert.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup white rice
4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Ground nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Rice:
Rinse the rice thoroughly in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water. Drain.
Combine Rice and Milk:
In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and 2 cups of milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
