I’ve seen many recipes of this, but nothing beats this version! Will be using this a lot this year!
Instructions:
1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Set aside.
2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 ½ cups of sugar, ⅔ cup of evaporated milk, 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Stir until everything is well mixed and the sugar dissolves.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Once it boils, reduce the heat to medium, and continue to cook and stir for about 4-5 minutes.
4. Remove the saucepan from heat, and stir in marshmallows, chips, chopped pecans (if using), and vanilla extract.
5. Stir aggressively for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted to your desired level. You can adjust this based on preference.
6. Pour the fudge mixture into a greased baking dish. Decorate the top with more mini mashallows or pecans as desired.
7. Let it cool at room temperature. Put in fridge for 2 hours or until set.
Once set, cut into squares and enjoy your homemade Toll House Famous Fudge!
Note: Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
Indulge in the nostalgic taste of this delightful dessert and impress your family and friends with a batch of Toll House Copycat Famous Fudge. Its creamy texture, chocolatey flavor, and rich history make it an irresistible treat for any occasion. Enjoy!
