Cheese and Onion on Toast

Preheat your oven broiler on high.
Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and toast them under the broiler for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until they are lightly golden brown.
Assemble the Cheese and Onion on Toast:
Spread a generous layer of caramelized onions onto each slice of toasted bread.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the caramelized onions, covering them completely.
Broil the Toast:
Place the assembled toast back under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are crispy and golden brown.
Serve and Garnish:
Carefully remove the cheese and onion on toast from the oven and transfer them to serving plates.
Garnish with fresh parsley or chives, if desired, for a pop of color and added freshness.
Serve the toast hot, as is, or alongside a fresh salad or soup for a complete meal.
