My Italian neighbor showed me this dish, and we knew we had to snag the recipe!

Baked Mostaccioli

Ingredients:

1 pound (450g) mostaccioli pasta

1 pound (450g) ground Italian sausage

1 onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
