Ingredients :
For the dough:
250g of flour
125g cold butter, cut into small pieces
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons of cold water
For the pastry cream:
500ml of milk
4 egg yolks
100g of sugar
50g flour
1 vanilla pod (or vanilla extract)
For garnish :
3 to 4 apples, peeled, cored and cut into thin slices
2 tablespoons apricot jam (for shine)
Instructions :
Prepare the dough by mixing the flour, salt and sugar in a large bowl. Add the butter and work it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
